![]() ![]() The T-Tech doesn't use anything electric for exchanging fluid. 2016 Ford F350 PICKUP (6.7L 8 -cyl Engine Code T U Diesel Turbo) Motor Oil, Filters and Lubricants - AMSOIL. That's the ONLY machine I would want hooked up to my transmission. Since most OE transmissions hold less than 12 qts.and the machine holds 14.that's 2 extra quarts that cycle through so that MOST (98-99%) all the fluid has been replaced. Put it in park and continue filling until it reads full on the stick. Since the engine is running, the torque converter is also flushed. While holding the brake so that the wheels DO NOT turn, shift through all of the gears slowly- 10 seconds each gear. The fluid level inside the transmission NEVER changes during the exchange. Put 350 tranny in place of 4 speed, original dipstick, got 350 tranny from a guy who said it had a fresh rebuild and put in a new convertor, I drove it once bout 5 miles, then later on I started it in garage and it blew fluid out t he dipstick, I put in approximately 8 quarts atf. What makes it better? The fact that the line pressure is the exact same as it would be any other time. As it pumps the old fluid into the cylinder.which is separated from the new fluid via a big piston inside the cylinder.the old fluid fills the bottom of the cylinder which causes pressure that pushes the piston up, forcing the new fluid into the trans cooling line. Start the vehicle and the transmission pump does ALL the work. Then you connect the OLD fluid line to the hose the fluid is coming out of.and the new fluid line to the other. Start the engine just long enough to see which direction the fluid moves in the clear hoses. Hook up the connections.one hose to each cooling line. You fill the cylinder with 14 quarts of new fluid. ![]() The absolute best (if there is such a thing) ATF exchanger is a 1st generation T-Tech machine. Too many risks with one with a 'helper pump' or evacuator. Click to expand.I'm pretty sure you don't want a 'power fluid exchanger'. ![]()
